Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

i am not faimiliar with the concept of sin-eating . .
i could have understood somebody wanting to be remembered, but being remembered because of the scars of somebody else, who may die or get the scars ruined in another way?

Are we not all the sum of our smallest sins? Think on this as you read "The Ten Million Demons" on The Unpublishable: http://www.the-unpublishable.com/2012/1 ... emons.html

That one is very well written, only one error sprung out at me . . wroth instead of wrath, if that was not intended . .
I feel there is a kind of moral in here somewhere, but i can only make out"bigger is not always better, quantity will trump quality over time every time"
and i did not understand what the swings had to do with anything, aside from some, in my opinion, not needed exposition . . i think it hurt the flow of the story more than it helped explain the basic premises O.o

I flipped coins at random to select sentences from Lovecraft's correspondence - each sentence in that letter, right down to the header and footer, are from his letters - and then arranged them. So the only thing I wrote myself was the introduction; the rest is a result of a random composition. It was a bit of an experiment.

ah, so this is one of the cases where the answer to an or question could, indeed, have been claimed to be correct if it had been yes.
